Ripoff $2995.50 Check too good to be true DON'T CASH IT!

Today I received a check from Imperial Foundaton Lotto written on Aberdeen Golf & Country Club Operating Account with Wachovia Bank for $2995.50.

Per the letter's instructions, I called the Agent at (403) 383-7849 for authorization and activation of the check to later receive winnings of $114, 000 after I cash the check and send cashier's check for $2, 835.00 to their designated North American Agent.

I was drawn to further investigate this offer prior to cashing the check when the agent provided very vague answers to questions I had regarding the signature and typed saluation being different on the letter, why they couldn't send the funds directly to the designated agent themselves and the lagitimacy of their company.

I found through various sources on the internet including reports filed with canada-complaints.coms.com that this is a Scam. The check is counterfeit on an logitimate US business. One used on the check sent to me is Aberdeen Golf & Country Club Operating Account.

You deposit the check, your bank release the funds to you but doesn't find it's counterfeit until 6 weeks or so later which by that time the Agent who has instructed you to call as soon as the check has cleared and to send a cashiers check to their designated agent. Not only don't you receive the $114, 000, but you are now liable for the $2995.50 your bank released to you and also out of the $2, 835.50 you've sent to the Scam artist. THey call it Lotto because you've entered a Canadian gambling Ring which falls under small claims because it's less than $3, 000.00.
