I received a letter 10/14/06 in the mail stating that I had won a lottery/sweepstakes valued at $275, 000.00. There was a check enclosed for $2, 800.00 with instructions to call Joy Robinson or Daniel King @ 1-905-598-2487 to activate my claim before depositing the check into my account. I decided to check out the company online to see if there were any negative feedback from other people before doing anything. I'm glad I did because I realize this is not legitimate based on the fact that some of the same addresses and information appeared in my letter as well. I will be notifying the First National Bank of Texas that I received this cashier's check and find out what they would like me to do with it. Thanks to those of you who posted your information for people like me to see. It has saved me from doing something that would have had detrimental affects on mine and my family's finances.
