Unfortunately I haven't been checking my bank statement more than once every two weeks but I'll do things differently after this.

I was verifying a recent charge and as I balanced my account I saw this other charge for $33.99 from a company called Spooftel. I had never heard of them and certainly don't remember ordering their service, and then I noticed another entry I didn't recognize (IMCBILL.COM- separate report filed). Both of these had foreign currency conversion fees associated with them which I've never seen before.

I have canceled my card because naturally I have no reason to feel safe without doing so. I'm awaiting a detailed report from Wells Fargo on the nature of these purchases. Can you believe they tell you it can be 30 days just to get this info?? I have attempted to contact these companies by email which is all that's available as you can see by their minimalist login front pages on their websites (slightly suspect already) and will update by tuesday if I don't hear from them.

My only possible cause/effect fear is that when I uncharacteristically gave my account number over the phone to a familiar vendor in Seattle, Washington (hmm, close to Canada) due to a back ordered item I had to reorder, it has made me suspect the girl who took my number.

This would only make these two vendors I'm reporting indirectly responsible I suppose but they never sent me email verifications for the charges they billed me (like all the other transactions I do) and I have no idea what service or product I was supposed to have received from the second (IMCBILL.COM although by the picture it looks like porn), but for Spooftel I assume it was for the caller id spoofing which I never ordered. However, try going to their home pages and find out any info like reputable commerce sites provide and you'll see what I mean.
