False Expectations $8000 and my life in Ruins ripoff Vancove

Miscellaneous

Dear All,

I have dreamed the internet dream for many years. Four years ago, I decided to do something about it.

But I did not know where to start. It seemed such a mystery-I did not understand the way the internet worked at all.

So I begun with a plug and play website and that bombed. I tried many different variations of this and each time my dreams would be dashed.

So I sought cheap affordable help. That came in the form of Ken Evoy's SiteBuildit! I was impressed with his organization but couldn't crack this very small niche affiliate thing that he kept on going on about.

So I grew increasingly desperate- my job was and is going nowhere-there maybe a hint of ethnic bias in this case, but that is for another day.

I spent so much on my credit cards pursuing my dream that my marriage has never recovered. But I was so desperate to succeed, to get out of the dead end job that was killing me emotionally, spiritually and destoying my self-confidence.

I was consumed with the need to amount to something and not be just another butt kissing nobody.

That's when I came accross the then Corey Rudl program. I was riveted and immediately blown away by his free tele-seminar. I wanted so much to believe that his organization was the answer to my prayers. I was sure. 100% certain.

I purchased as much as I could from his web-site. I loved the material and played those DVD's and Audios time and time again.

In March 2005, the internet was awash with various marketing 'Gurus' pushing their take on mentorship programs.

I was financially buried living on credits cards by that time but desperate for success.

I thought seriously about 3 mentorship programs- Joe Vitale, Nitro-Marketing, Corey Rudl's Internet Marketing Center 'Elite'Advanced Mentorship Program.

Of the 3, Nitro-Marketing promised the least riches but cost the about $2000, it also shared the profits out evenly.

I was very interested in their offer and applied- $2000, I could survive with and not feel too much pain.

Joe Vitale -same price, but he kept on going about how he kicked Harry Potter's butt and that drove me up the wall -especially as he was one of my wonderful daughter's favourite characters. So I didn't apply.

Then there was IMC. With me completely mesmerised and bewitched by Corey Rudl seminar performances, I called to inquire about their program...

$8000 well $7999 to be exact. I knew immediately that that would be financial suicide sooner rather than later and I explained to them why over a period of 5 calls over 4 days why that was the case.

However, they have extremely good salesmen/ women and over a period of 1 week between countless e-mails that appeared to come Corey himself and telepone calls from it seemed the entire sales force they wore me down and closed an $8000 deal.

They knew of my financial predicament and what my expectations would be. I was given the impression of something mind-blowing was about to take place in my life-at least $60, 000 to $100, 000 in 6 months.

I thought something truly magical was on the horizon. They promised no formulas but a world class personal approach that would blow all my pains away.

I should say that as people the mentor and the other staff I dealt with were very professional, friendly and helpful and I have no doubt that they are a very good organization to have as a JV partner etc.

However that is not the point - for $8000 USD I expected to work hard very hard and I did frequently going to bed a 4.30 and no ealier than 2 a.m. every morning and I mean 99% of the time but I expected something extra-ordnary, not magic but something truly different.

I believed even when the warning signs began to ring about extremely narrow nicheswhere there is no-one else supplying that niche and no-one advertisiing in it.

What do you do when you have no unique niche interests or know- how, you write an e-book about a chronic illness that has no symptoms and has an extremely low profile and requires a very high degree of credibility.

The KEI counts were so low and dramatically changing from day to day that mentor was clearly worried. I sensed panic creeping into our sessions from him and certainly from me.

However there were no options. I panicked and got a reprints rights -and halted the program for 3 weeks. I was feeling everything falling apart.

We tried for 1 session on the reprints thing but I could tell that his heart wasn't in it- but what was the alternative an e-book on open angle Glaucoma- talk about a market the have more doctors searhing online than patients who only want free information!

So after the reprint rights flopped, we agreed to meet again- session 9. What a disaster-no new ideas, nothing. Three sessions left and $8000 down the drain. My life in ruins-as it is now.

I have built a rough and ready web-site (learned from my own efforts) about my experiences and thoughts of the 15 plus programs I have tried over the last 3 and a half years so that others will not make the same mistakes I made. It is not a vindictive site but gives my genuine opinions.

I offered it on warrior forum, they cleared it and I had 230 views and many comments in just over 3 hours. However some-one got it pulled.

It was the same story at associate programs. So I am being silenced.

I need a voice so that others can know the real inside story and make wise choices.

This site is non-profit so please let the little guy have a voice and do not delete its address marketing-experts.

Kinest Regards
