Completely screwed me and my family over with paying for all his errors as an experienced home builde

Kelly Wash, my contractor to build my walls, floors and roof of my house, made promises like a sales guy looking over my drawing saying he can build my house by Christmas 2003. He sat down with my retired parents and myself assuring them that their in good hands. We changed the designs of the house to accomdate eco-block. I had to take 2 weeks off to get a demolission permit which he was responsible for It took him 2 months to demolish the house.

I had to litterally be there everyday to become a labourer and build my house myself because his labourer never showed up and when they most of them where drunk. Most of the his labourers owed him money. They were making so many mistakes on my roof and my walls. I have a really nice curve on my supposedly straight wall. My concrete basement floor is completely cracked where he placed the supporting bases in wrong place. Kelly Wash signed up with Rocket Lumber who never looked at the drawings and never had any communication with him. I found out that the drawing from the lumber company were complete wrong weeks later after they have already in production. Kelly never checked the drawings from the lumber company.

Thus, all my roof trusses were wrong by 8 inches. Trusses going through concrete walls. I paid his labourer and extra material to fix all the trusses. I wanted fire him from the start and this was the only referal from Eco-Block. I'm completely disgusted with this man, he has no honour, no morals and is totally incompetent. He has no experience building a house nor does he have any process. "He is like a child in a sandbox" which is what my neighbour called him. My neighbour told me many times to give him a chance.

Repeatedly, my neighbour, who is the greatest helped me out emmensely, felt completely sorry for me and tried his best to help me out of this disaster of a contrator. Kelly doesn't know how to fix his mistakes. I had to come up with my own designs to work around his mistakes. I am still living with all of Kelly's mistakes. Is a home owner supposed to be the builder, labourer and engineer to fix this incompetent contractor's mistakes and expect to pay for everything. Kelly is not an engineer. Kelly has no idea about mechanics and structure dynamics, yet he tries to sell solutions that would lead to complete catastrophe. He doesn't even check other his labourers work before commensing another task and assumes they are correct.

I had to check it myself to show that there was major errors. How can Kelly be competent if he does not have the process, plus he is never there to supervise. So, the home owner is sold that it is his mistake, sold that all the problems are unforseen. Is the home ower supposed to do everything and know how to build a house.
