Web Detective Scam and Conartist: Bad Business

I wanted to find some information about my mothers' birth mother that past the day my mother was born. I know my aunts and cousins, but I know there is more to the family than that. I came across Web Detective, and decided to utilize the three day trial period. I used my credit card to obtain the services. I was very disappointed to see that I was limited to three searches a day. I was also disappointed at the information I received. I could have used the local phone book to get the information Web Detective found for me. The same day I tried to cancel the trial period; only to find out that the phone number, business hours, and email address were all false. This company was misleading from the beginning. It is one thing to be disappointed with the services, but to find out there is no one there to cancel the service. The consumer is not getting the opportunity to be dissatisfied with the service. Who do you think you are to sit back and just automatically take peoples money and get away with it. I am very upset with the service and how the company take advantage of the consumer. You are standing by to take peoples money, but when it is time to cancel you can't be reached. What do I get out of this, I have been scammed!!! I am sorry about the other consumers that were scammed, but with this report others can be reached to steer clear of scammers and Web Detective. If you have to do this type of business to get money, I feel sorry for you. Now, I must go to search for a reputable company to help me with my search.!!!
