Scott C vs Intelligent Batteries

Around July of 2004 I purchased a Toshiba laptop battery from this company. They took forever shipping the battery. Finally after several emails to them they finally sent me a bad battery right off the bat. Who knows how many people this happens to. I contacted them and informed them of my problem. They still didnt respond until my second email. Here is part of there response "Scott, We apologize for the late reply. We have been receiving an unusually high number of customer inquiries over the past couple of weeks which is why we are not able to reply right away. It seems that you have received a defective unit which obviously failed on initial charging."

How conveinent for them. Well turns out I never sent the battery in and found the box with the defective battery recently. I emailed them and asked for another RMA number. They denied my request. Replacing the battery is only under warranty they said. Funny thing is I never got to use the $80.00 defective battery they sent me. I ask you, being a battery company who deals with defective products and warranties on a daily basis, Would this hurt them in any way? I think not. Instead they chose not to help a customer out. Calling me a liar saying that how are they to know I didnt use the battery until it was dead. Well they have stolen my $80.00 bucks and they are a criminal Rip-Off business. I will tell everyone I know not to do business with them. They could have helped a customer out and got much refferal considering the type of business I'm in. On a side note I feel that there are some prejudices involved being they are canadian based. Hope something is done about this fraud rip-off company.
