UNIVERSAL GIFT VENTURES is a SCAM

Wow, was I taken. I take pride in attempting to be safe, yet got snookered by this one. I think the reason was the Web site was one of Google sponsored links. I thought if Google promoted the Web site it must be legitimate. Boy was I wrong.

If you have done some hunting about how this company was a fraud, my story will be like a skipping record with the same thing being stated. I placed my order, and got an email stating that it was being processed. Another email stated a timeline of when shipping and receiving the package would be. I was also told that they would send a tracking number to know where my shipment was.

A couple of weeks later I got an email stating that they sent it to the wrong address, and are shipping the package again. They also stated that they were having computer issues and that they could not send out a tracking number. That time came and went. When I emailed this response:

Hello,

Your replacement order has been shipped out already. It was due Dec 6-8th, but with the busy Christmas season, a small delay can be expected.

Your order should be there within a matter of a few business days.

I waited another week and emailed again. Same response as the last. This is when I got concerned, emailed them stating they were a fraud and got this response:

There is no fraud here, there have been recent delays beyond our control, therefore your order has been delayed. Your order is in the mail and will arrive this week. Please notify us if it doesnt come, and we will issue a refund

This is when I did some more research and found this company to riddle the Web with angry people posting reports all over the place.

I also personally got a laugh when TheDVDPlanet aka UNIVERSAL GIFT VENTURES
Responded and seemed very appalled that someone felt ill of them, and that they had 100s of thousands of happy customers.

Keep away from them like a plague. In the future before placing an order with anyone questionable on the Web, do a search in google with the words fraud, scam and the company name. If they are a fraud you will come up with many concerned Web sites telling you their troubles.
