I recently spent over 15000 dollars to stay at A Home Away for 7 weeks. Upon arriving I realized that the facility was not as I had expected. The methods used by John Derry were harsh but because of the no refund policy I had intended on staying. I spent 13 days there during which I witnessed John yell at several guests, even during breakfast. He used words such as "Disgusted" and "Shut Up" on more than one occasion. I left after he yelled in my face because I realized that I was putting my recovery in jeopardy by subjecting myself to his abusive methods. I witnessed him twist people's stories to best suit the angle of his attack and manipulate others to agree with him. John Derry is taking advantage of people in a vulnerable place. He is a deeply disturbed and unhappy man.
