Ripoff company goes door to doo

March 30th had young man wanting to demo a Kirby vaccum. What was the catch? Said I just have to show and tell my friends about how good this vaccum is. I thought, why not?

So 30 min. later, a different young man came by. (Thank goodness for my 75 pound German Shepherd!) He did vaccum. I asked what was the cost to purchase. He showed me a paper (no letterhead or anything) that said $2, 399.00 (Cdn). I said no...

He said, let me call my boss. I thought, hhmm, this reminds me of "Deal or No Deal". So he got off the phone and said they could bring the price down to $2, 199. I said no. I can't afford it, etc. etc. I just wanted him to go.

I asked for a business card - maybe I could call them back when I might be in a better position to buy. He said they don't have any - that there's such a high turnover in employees.

I asked to see one of their bags. He claimed he didn't have one. He then got on the phone again, and talked to his coworker to come and bring a bag. I thought this was all suspect. I'm single, so hard to get rid of these guys...

So the young man that was the initial sales pitch came over. I kept saying no. No 1 guy got on his phone and said we can give you the vaccum for $1, 999.00. I asked if that included taxes. He said no, but got on the phone again... and said that would include the taxes.

He started filling out a "consumer credit release form". Wanted alot of information. I didn't like this. So fishy from the beginning. Again I aasked for a business card. No one has one. I asked for their phone number. They wouldn't give me one. They said there's a toll free number and call that number.
Under NO Conditions were I to call the Kirby Vaccum official Customer Service phone number.

I did not provide any personal information. I said forget it, and just GO!!! They finally left after 3 painful hours. Aghhhh!!

As for the cleaning and shampoo. It was okay, but nothing to write home about.

They also told me they distribute the vaccums for all of BC and Alberta. I thought to myself, ha! Why? Because I know there is a vaccum shop in New Westminster that sells Kirby vaccums.

JUST SAY NOOOOO!!!
