Been lied to about warantees

I sent the following to Future Shop and they told me that someone would contact me and no one did... I warned them that if they didn't resolve my situation I would post it on this website. I hope no one else gets burned this way by these clowns:

I bought a dvd player in November of 2002 with an extended Future Shop warrantee. Originally when the sales clerk mentioned the extended warrantee I wasn't interested. He then proceeded to tell me that the warrantee included maintenance which meant that I could bring in the dvd player for cleaning once a year for 4 years. I trusted what he told me and bought the warrantee based on the maintenance. I went in to find out that the maintenance is only valid for VCRs and other equipment and doesn't include dvd players.

The technician told me that cleaning a dvd player isn't even necessary.

The cleck lied to me and I am very pissed off. I paid 59.99 plus taxes for something not only do I not need, but isn't even part of the deal. Plus I lost time for bringing in the unit and gain frustration of dealing with this.

The technician took the unit and told me that they would honor what I was told, but in retrospect that's stupid after he told me that cleaning was unecessary. It leads me to wonder if it's going to sit there until I get it back.
