Complete Rip Off Artist Remains in Jail

This man originally entered my home in 2007 he was suppose to do my whole house took a large deposit. Came in and ripped up all my carpets on the main floor and when I didn't want to pay the balance of the job told me he was unsure the job could go forward as he didn't think he charged me enough. I of course was in tears, I have 4 children including at this time a little baby and I now have no carpets and no hope of having someone come and replace them.

He then leaves all the garbage from my home on the front lawn. I am appalled at this.

He speaks with my husband (at this point he refuses to speak with me) they come up with an agreement he is to return tomorrow.

He does return but then says he can't do the job because the wood has to climatate. He'll be back at another time.

He returns once more and lays the wood on our main floor and then claims he needs to collect the balance to pay for the upstairs wood. We foolishly give him the balance and get a contract stating he will return the next day with the wood required for upstairs (this was in November 2007).

We have not seen him since we spoke to him on several occasions but no return to finish the job. Although he does have some nerve when he did the first portion of our job he had asked if he could use us as a referral. We said yes but by the time someone called us for a referral he had already started giving us the run around so I told them the truth I would not give this man the large deposit he is asking for.

I then received threatening calls from Steve calling me names and swearing on my machine.

When I spoke with police yesterday I found out he remains in jail at this point.

He has filed a bankruptcy for 842, 000 and that doesn't even include all his victims.
