Internet scam -- taking advantage of desperate buyers trying to sell vehicle Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto

I posted an ad on autotrader.ca, and posted my phone number on there. I was contacted by a "rep" who claimed he represented an online company who's clientelle were people with bad credit/no credit trying to finance a vehicle. He told me he had potential buyers looking for my exact vehicle year and make. I could get a high price for my vehicle because his company sold at a high price for their high risk buyers. They had a 1 time $299 fee, for as long as it took to sell the vehicle. I foolishly fell for his presentation and gave him my credit card info. About a week later I tried to contact the company (via email and phone) to inquire as to why I had recieved no call yet for the "locked in" buyer interested in my vehicle. All my emails were bounced back. And the phone numbers went straight to voicemail.
DO NOT fall for this companys sales pitch. I am out $300 because I was desperate and heard everything I wanted to hear.
