, Abbotsford Nissan, Forbes Financial Got paid almost $4000 and stole a vehicle!

These scam artists got paid for a vehicle lease, (down payment $4000 and 1st months lease payment $75.00) and re-possessed the vehicle and are holding it until I bring them the "keys" so they can "move it". Then, I "MIGHT" get it back.

What it looks like to me is that they are pulling a scam.. make 4 or 5 grand in a 3 weeks and take the vehicle back then re-sell it again! That's a good gig!

My first payment was to come out on March 1st. (Saturday)

My bank NEVER processes anything on Saturday, it all comes out on Monday, so I deposited the money into the machine on Sunday (the 2nd)

So the payment comes back "funds not cleared" as the money was not verified until the next business day. They phone me and I apologize for the mix up, and tell them to re-take the payment out of my account.

Yesterday, March 10th, the payment comes out of my account. Plus another $75 dollars.

This morning, March 11th, I get a phone call from Jim Lubbock (sp?) saying he "reposessed the vehicle" last night. I was flabbergasted. The downpayment was paid, the lease payment was paid YESTERDAY, but they took the truck LAST NIGHT? WTF??

He wanted me to "bring the keys" out to him so they can move it from the tow yard to their lot. Then he wants to "talk it over with me" and then MAYBE TOMMOROW "if he decides" I can get the truck back. As if I want them rooting through my truck with a bunch of expensive equipment in it! Why do they need the keys if they plan on giving it back??

This whole thing smells like a scam to me. The payments are paid, I consider this theft.

If this is not resolved within 24 hours, I will be suing them for encumbering my business as I am unable to work without my vehicle, as well as a host of other things. I have a call into an associate of mine at the RCMP and will be following up that angle as well. Why do they have a right to do this?
