Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change-Claimed false emissions test failed

I brought my 2000 Toyota Echo in for an emissions test. I laughed at the fact the one of the most environmentally friendly cars needs to be tested after only being 3 years old. So I take it anyways cause I need to renew my license and blah blah blah. They do my test and everyone was nice and blah blah blah. I watch the whole test through a window from the waiting room.

I get out and check on things. The test is over and the guy comes up to me and tells me I failed. WTF? I passed every single category with amazing results. For example: If I could only emit 0.42 CO%, I emitted 0.00, HC ppm 76, I emitted 8. So everything is good and then I looked at my NO ppm reading. Limit was 580 and I emitted over 3500?!?!?!?! WTF!??!?!

So the guy starts explaining a whole bunch of jargon about how this was high and this was that and blah blah blah, but he never answered what the main problem was for this. So he walks me to the desk to pay $37.45 for a failed emissions test.
FINE.

I go to Canadian Tire in Aurora, Ontario and I get my car looked at and tested again. WITHOUT ANY changes to my car whatsoever, I PASS my emissions test. My NO ppm limit still 580, I emitted 6. So I suggest that you do not go here for your emissions test because A: they screwed mine up, B: it cost double that of Canadian Tire and C: for me they were further away.

BY THE WAY, this was following an oil change, so I should have been really set to go.
