I received a letter in the mail on 8/10/09, which informed me that I had won $75, 000 in a drawing that was held in Las Vegas on 8/2/09. In order to claim my prize, I must pay the fees of $2980.00! Enclosed was a check for this amount, also stating that before cashing the check, I must call to confirm that I have received the letter and the check. Finally, 10% will be deducted from you cash prize to repay the fees. The representative named was Ms. Rebecca Coleman at 1-450-369-0456. When I called the number, I received a message stating that all agents were busy, and to leave a name and number for someone to return my call.

I suspected this was a scam since I have never been to Vegas. Also, the post mark on the envelope was from Canada, and the check was issued from a First Tennessee Bank in Greenville Tennessee. The director of operations, Darnell S. Beal signed both the check and the letter, but neither him nor Rebecca Coleman are available at the number listed. This is a SCAM... DO NOT DEPOSIT OR CASH THIS CHECK!
