Silvertrust Sweepstakes Lottery, Inc & Peoples Heritage Savings Bank Winning Notification from Silvertrust Company it is not TRUE, It is a Scam.. don't fall there!!

I received a check for the amount of $4, 955.46 in a white envelope with no returning address, the check was from the company Silvertrust Company Inc. and is made on Peoples Heritage Savings Bank, 1 Portland Sq. Portland, ME 04112. It seems to be legal, but it actually was a fake. Enclosed with this check was a letter saying that my name was attached to a ticket with the lucky number which consequently won the lottery in the 3rd category, dated on Sept. 30th, 2008.
I was approved to receive the amount of $125, 000 from the total cash prize of $2, 000, 000 (Two millions dollars) shared among the 16 winners. In the letter was this number 1-778-881-0054 and the name of Mr. Scott Phillips, this person was the agent to call and receive payment instructions.
I call this person and he advice me to keep this award from public notice and he also told me to deposit the check and call him back as soon as possible which I did, but since the check will be kept on hold for several day till it be release he ask me to send them $862.00 by Money Gram to cover Canadian Non-Resident Government Service Tax, in order for them to sent me the rest of the money, which of course I did not did at all.
Right know my Bank is taking care of all this and open an investigation toward these companies including the company sending the award notification (SilverTrust Sweepstakes) and also the name of the bank that appears in the check (Peoples Heritage Savings Bank).
I took the time to write this information, just to help others not to believe and be aware of this Scam. They really make you believe that you are a Winner!!
What they really want is your money... don't let them get nothing from you. Spread the word to all your relatives and friends, let's stop them.
