Loan Scam

This company had ad in paper for loans, loans, loans. When you call there you leave a message, someone calls you back and fills out an application with you over the phone, telling you once they verify all your information and find a lender for you someone will call you back. A different person calls you back and tells you that you have been approved and asks for a fax number to send you the papers, once you have the paper work they call back to go thru it with you. On your documents it states you need to forward to them,
Valid governement ID, SIN, Proof of income, Two references and Insurance required (in my case it was $487.00). The guy calls back and tells me that the insurance is thier requirement on the loan as they are the broker and would be held liable for the loan if I did not pay, but I dont need to send it all right now I can send them $225 via western union and then pay the balance within 30 days of recieving the loan. I told him I was not comfortable with western unioning the money as I dont know they are ligit. He said he totally understood and I had the right to research them thru the better business bureau as well as the chamber of commerce in Toronto as they have to be a member to get a business licence. He also stated that I had every right to do that as they investigated me as well to see if I qualified for the loan. Funny thing is, is that a friend of mine had already been ripped off by these people so when I filled out the application over the phone I gave incorrect name, address and sin # so I know they never checked me out. I searched BBB and Chamber of commmerce and cannot find this company listed.
