RIPOFF DRAFTED BANK ACCOUNT AFTER SERVICES WERE CANCELLED 1 WEEK BEFORE

Business & Finance

This company contacted me by phone in May 2002- offering a secured Mastercard. I asked all appropriate questions and was assured that if I decided to not take the card, that I could call and cancel the service (prior to the company drafting my account). I called the company on 14 May and requested that the transaction be cancelled. I spoke to a Mr. Stevens (customer service representative at (416) 488-4664) who assured me that he had cancelled my transaction and that the money would not be drafted from my account.

My account was drafted on May 21 (I have the bank document as proof) for 199.00. I attempted for two (2) months to contact the company- leaving messages everyday on their answering service. All of my attempts were unsuccessful. I would like to have my money back- this was a scam.
