I just learned that Vita Novus had moved to Muskoka under the name of Lotus Treatment Center. I cannot for the life of me understand all these complaints I've been reading about. Are you all some unhappy patient who has relapsed or have you not worked your program or maybe you were an employee who didn’t turn out well or maybe also relapsed? I had a nephew who was at Vita Novus some time ago and the changed man we received back home was amazing!! Vita Novus kept in contact with us since we live out of province. We conducted our weekly meetings via phone and teleconferencing. John is an amazing healer and while my nephew was there I did visit a couple of times with my sister and learned from other family members of patients how happy they were to see their loved ones come along so remarkably well. They told me the meals were fantastic, they were all very well-cared for, wonderful rooms with TVs, recreation and more. We learned that many have relapsed and those like my nephew have tried so many short term programs. They just do not work for the majority. That is why a long term place is necessary for patients like my nephew. So for you and everyone else here who lodge thewe false complaints to ruin someone's reputation, please read on.
I see complaints about John being a criminal, alcoholic etc and in recovery himself. I don't believe this information was ever hidden. Have you never watched Dr. Drew who runs a weekly TV show and has the Pasadena Recovery Center in the US? He and his staff were at one time all in recovery and therefore who best knows their patients? I think you should all be searching your souls for the way you and others have behaved here, like a bunch of snivelling, whiny kids who need to get a life and grow up!! You should all be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves, trying to dishonour someone's reputation when he's doing so much good for those WANTING the help! You are the ones who all need help. If your program did not do it for you then seek ongoing help through your local addiction centre, but YOU have to do the work, not expect some miracle to bring you back to life. Recovery places give you the basis and all the help you need to carry on but YOU need to continue working your programs, helping you with your sobriety or addiction. My nephew has learned this. So obvious you are all carrying this grudge because you need to blame your faults on someone else! My nephew has been doing great by following up and from the person he was (a total mess) to the young man he is now is totally amazing! We are so proud of him and many thanks to Vita Novus.
