Royal Holiday won't cancel my contract!

On October 12, 2007 My Husband and I were in Punta Cana on Holidays, and we were approach by a young male to give us some information regarding a holiday vacation package. We agreed to go to the meeting he promise it will take an hour so we decided to go as it was a rainy day. As soon as we got there there was a lady taking our information how much money we make a year and what we do for living. After that a sales person by the name of Eddy took us to a small table to present to us the information regarding the dream travel vacation. He explain to us how we can travel to different places with points and we can go to so many different places being a VIP Member and that we can do reservation as a member to the best suites with VIP and also we can travel with different friends and families at any time any where.

So another sales person came to discuss the price and it was $18000.00 USd He said that this is the best deal that he even went below the price because they are not allow to do this and they mention how important was this for us and that we won't fine a deal better than this anywhere else and the sales person proceeded to ask if we had any money with us I we said we have to think about this because we can't afford this, so he ask us at that moment how much we paid for our trip and we said about $2500 and he ask us about previous trip so he proceeded to calculate the amount so total came about $8000, to $12000. so he said that we spend already that much money and now it can be affordable to us with only $18, 000.00 so after he present everything he ask us want do you think about the presentation and what do you think about and we said is good so he said what are u waiting for and he pressures us into signing the contract at that moment we didn't have anything with us like visa so, he quickly suggested that my husband should go to get the visa so I said, I will go to get it. At that moment he insisted that I should stay and I did after that we got the visa but not realizing how these people pressure you to get what they want. The sales man announce in front of everybody that we became members at that moment you are more obligated and pressure to purchase the package. We were taken to a small room to signed the contract they give so many papers the lawyer said initials here and here while they are offering drinks and someone also came into the room trying to ask us where we were from and meanwhile the lawyer is asking us to sign the paper when the contract was sign and the papers with our initial then Rafael de la Cruz told us that this contract can not been cancel. AFter we left I told my husband that I didn't like how we were pressure into signing this contract and that we should make sure before anything could go worse so we decided to look in the book regarding the information that they gave only verbally because the contract doesn't tell you the promises that they tell you.

After reading the book we discover that so many things that they picture so nice are so different from reality like depending on the season there are different amount of point that you can use and also that you will be a VIP member when only the Platinum members have that service so we went the next morning to confront the Lawyer why they mislead us into signing the contract that now that we are researching because they didn't give us time to think or do some research. I read in the book is total different story so, at that moment they didn't denied what we told them and they didn't give us any explanation instead Mr. De la Cruz went inside and after 1/2 hour brought us a letter stating that we were going to get the VIP service excluding the amount of point I have purchase. so we told them that we wanted to cancel and he said He can’t cancel since that moment we felt some thing was not right and we decided to make some research and I came across this wed site because I don't want to have a nightmare with this company. And Before writing this complaint I call one of the 1800 numbers they have to see if I can cancel before I file a complaint I spoke with Sandra but it was worthless instead she was telling me that I was the one who wanted it this vacation because otherwise I wouldn’t sign for it and she was trying to put everything against me and that The sales people told me the truth and that is not misleading at all. She ask why I wanted to cancel and she said we are here to help you and I said than cancel my contract and she repeatedly said we can’t cancel you signed for it because you wanted the package and I said I want to cancel because of a misleading contract I was pressure to signed it and I don’t want to this contract I wont loose my money and before I go through the whole ordeal I want to cancel so she said that that information is not accurate.

I want my money back and I want this people stop pressuring innocent people they are only after our money with false presentation.
