This u haul dealer gave me a quote of 19.95 /day. With 100 free klm. I had the van from 10 am Saturday nov 17 until 4 pm The same day. I put 168 klm on the veh. Which I knew would result in overage on klm by 68 klm. And I even put more gas back into the vehicle than when I picked it up. (Not a problem) HOWEVER now it Monday morning and I receive an email statement totaling 135. WAY OVER CHARGED. I did call the dealer of u haul at 93 Bradford St in Barrie, On from where I rented this cargo van ( employee named Jamel) and explained the over charges on my bill and he than gave me the number of the owner working at kozlov mall 647 217 7364 and told me to call him because he couldn't deal with his matter.
I did call this man and he actually called three way back to this Jamel attempting to prove me a liar about what his employee quoted me about price and mileage. Jamel told him 19.95 day and 100 free klms. Just what I had told him. Still the owner refuse to fix the wrong billing but did want to give me a dealer rate which would have totaled more than I should have been billed initially, even with the 68 klms over (as I was told 100 free klms) I told him no I would not agree to that pride and he still wouldn't correct u hauls mistake. I'm a very honest person and I certainly would honor my quotes to my valuable customers But NOT THIS U HAUL LOCATION.
What really bothers me and makes the matter worse is that when I went in on Saturday to pick up the cargo van another customer was there with the exact same problem. DOUBLE BILLED THEM and again the owner would not correct his mistake and that customer was heading to the police station at that point. Not sure what became of that but I should have known not to rent from there HOWEVER I believed that U HAUL WAS A REPUTABLE COMPANY and that the same billing problem would not happen to me. WOW WRONG!!! I TOLD THE OWNER AT KOZLOV MALL THAT I EXPECTED him to correct the mistake and he said he could do nothing other than charge me a business rate, even after our lengthy conversation.
I than told him that was NOT ACCEPTABLE and I was going to call the head of U HAUL and he replied go ahead they can do nothing. I than told him I was also going to contact the better business bureau and the Barrie police. He than hung up on me. VERY DISGUSTED IN U HAUL.!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY BE CALLING THE PROPER AUTHORITIES CONCERNING THIS MATTER. I can understand a mistake being made BUT U HAUL should do the honorable thing and correct his billing overage. Sincerely DISGUSTED IN U HAUL. Would NOT EVER RECOMMEND THUS PARTICULAR LOCATION. If I ever have to rent any moving veh again I would deal OR .
