My teenage daughter called Lornik Productions regarding their advertisement in the Spectator. She was interested in the modeling for herself and younger sister. I spoke to Renee who told me to bring the girls in for an interview.
We went in to see Loraine (This was almost the end of June/08). She asked if I'd like to sign the girls up, I did for the price of $735.00. I later paid over $500.00 for a split photo-shoot (on a disc). We were called in almost two months later to view the photos. Loraine discussed with the girls and myself how she can market them by sending their photos to different agencies (via computer).
I then asked Loraine if there would be any other fees, she told me "no".
I proceeded to let Loraine know about our financial situation, (and my medical situation) I also informed her that the girls are very willing to work to pay for their education, she appeared to acknowledge that.
About three weeks later, Loraine called my daughter and told her she had an agency interested in girls her age and her sister's age to let me contact her ASAP. When I returned Loraine's call she told me about the agency and said I should come in to see her ASAP. I did the very next day, thinking she was going to give me the information regarding the agency, she didn't.
She told me it would be faster to get the Pictures of the girls to the agencies by putting them on her website for an extra charge, I had to remind Loraine about my situation. That I was recently separated, had an accident and was not working so I had no more money. She made a deal with me, stating I can pay her $220.00 then (it was on a tuesday) and she would put the girls on her website by that weekend, but I would have to go in the following Tuesday to put down another payment, I agreed. Two weeks passed and the girls were not on the website, so I called Loraine several times to find out what was going on, to let her know I was not going to pay the balance as she did not keep her end of the deal. Loraine would not return my calls. Another two weeks or so went by, then Loraine calls and asked me if I received her text message, (there was no text message from her). She started yelling at me when I tried to explain to her that I did not come in to pay the balance due to the fact that she did not do as she said she'd do. I did not want to hear her yelling so I hung up.
I went in to see Loraine to ask for a refund and the disc (which I paid for in full). Loraine told me I had to take it up with the Web guys.
I never did get the disc from Loraine, nor have the girls ever been called in for any kind of work.
Loraine manipulates people to give her their money, she knows we would do anything for our children, so she uses that to gain for herself and she will never market your children, she only wants your money. DON'T EVER SIGN UP WITH LORNIK PRODUCTIONS... THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! SCAMMERS!!!
