Iam encouraging everyone out there to try and do their homework before getting involved with modelling scams out there. Lornik Productions Inc. located in Burlington in the REIMER building.
My daughter who is 15 now found an ad on craigslist. She responded to the ad and they asked her to come in. I live in Toronto. It took us over an hour to get. The lady, Reene sits at the front desk and quite rude. She gave my daughter forms to fill in.
We got to see Lorraine and she proceeded to tell us about the companies that thet contract through; walmart, zellers, Tim Hortons... she said my daughter was pretty and had a beautiful body. She even asked she she spoke another language which she does and she said she would get her into a job right away.
We ended up signing a contract and believing in her l paid almost $800. She said to come back in 2 weeks for photoshoot, which we did. The photographer was very nice and took great pictures. We waitied, l called and called several times until Lorraine called me back and she asked us to come in to have a look at the pictures and to pick up the disk with my daughters pictures.
She asked us to go through all the pictures and select the ones we wanted on the website. We selected maybe 10 out of like 30 pictures. Reene proceeds to tell me that it will cost me $678 to have her on the website and that it is essential that we do that becuase that it the only way my daughter will get work. I told her that l was not told about these other costs and that lm a single parent and there is no way that l can afford to pay that amount of money.
She proceeded to tell me in front of my daughter that lm killing my daughters dream. "Do l not have a credit card? " She was a sinlge mother herself and raised 3 kids and she made sure that they followed their dreams and that she worked long hours. I told her to just give me my disk so that we could leave, she refused and told me that l can come back and get it another time because they still needed it.
I was so angry that l just walked out of there and started crying. My daughter was so heart broken. I still have not heard anything from them but l do intend on going back there to get my disk.
Anyone out there... please do not get tricked my Lorraine and the old rude lady Reene (whatever her name is).
