Parties Involved:
United Van Lines Ltd and their Affiliate Companies that were used in the storage of all of my items for 5 years and the Parties responsible for the physical Moving of my items Coordinated by United Van Lines. Ltd.
All my household items and everything that I owned and worked hard for all of my life were moved into and stored by Armstrong Van and Storage and affiliate of Untied Van Lines for 5 years at a cost of over $ 4500

MOVING COMPANY THAT UNITED VAN LINES SUBCONTRACTED MY MOVE THROUGH IN WHICH DELIVERY WAS PROMISED IN 5 DAYS BUT TOOK 12 DAYS THAT ALL OF MY POSSESSIONS WERE IN THEIR CARE. Cost of Move $ 1700

SYNOPSIS:
MY SAD LOSS AND DISASTER USING UNITED VAN LINES LTD AND ITS AFFILIATE COMPANIES:
July 2001? Called United Van Lines Ltd was referred to their affiliate company Armstrong Van and Storage in Thunder Bay. Originally I lived my whole life in Thunder Bay but now I was relocating to British Columbia. I stored all of my possessions including furniture, antique jewelry collection, antiques and wood furniture in what I was promised a Safe and Secure United Van Lines affiliate storage warehouse. Paid over $4500 in storage fees (no other fees were offered nor any insurance for loss or damage to my items).
June 2006? After returning to Thunder Bay, ON for a few years I relocated to Sarnia, Ontario. Called Armstrong Van and Storage who with Untied Van Lines coordinated the move of my items to Sania. I did NOT sign any documents regarding this move and contrary to United Van Lines lies I was NOT offered any additional insurance to cover loss or damage. My friend used his credit card and spoke to United Van Lines, he was not offered any insurance either and was only faxed a credit card authorization form for the transport of my items from Thunder Bay to Sarnia. No Order Forms were sent, no extra per item insurance was Ever Mentioned by United Van Lines or Armstrong Van and Storage? the affiliate of United Van Lines Ltd
I SIGNED NO PAPERWORK ORDERING THIS TRANSPORTATION NOR WAS THERE ANYWHERE A MENTION OF PER ITEM REPLACEMENT COST INSURANCE.
United Van Lines Ltd contracted the move to McFalls Moving and Storage. Delivery was promised in 5 days from Thunder Bay, Ontario to my new apartment in Sarnia, Ontario.
12 days later the moving truck arrived. Within hours I discovered all of my jewelry missing/stolen. I telephone United Van Lines Ltd and was told to fill out the online claim form: This was redundant as I was never offered any extra per item replacement insurance which would have covered all my Missing Items that went Missing while in the care of United Van Lines Ltd or its affiliate companies.
3 days later realized that almost 1/2 of my possession were missing. Called police they said I could not prove who stole my possessions.
Spoke to Claims Manager Ken Clark? United Van Lines Ltd Head Office and I was told that maybe my items may have been stolen when they were in Storage with Armstrong Van and Storage (United Van Lines affliliate company)

THE GREAT BLAME GAME STARTS
FIRST UNITED VAN LINES HEAD OFFICE KEN CLARK SAID THAT MAYBE MY ITEMS WERE STOLEN WHILE IN STORAGE WITH ARMSTRONG VAN AND STORAGE - THEIR AFFILIATE COMPANY.
THEN MR. KEN CLARK SAID "MAYBE YOU MOTHER STOLE ALL YOUR JEWELRY AND OTHER ITEMS.
MY MOTHER IS A FRAIL 76 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO DOES NOT LIKE JEWELRY AND SHE HAD NO ACCESS TO ANYTHING OF MINE IN THE "SAFE" STORAGE THAT I WAS PROVIDED.
NEXT THE LIES STARTED Armstrong Van and storage SAID THAT I WAS OFFEERED THE EXTRA INSURANCE
EXCUSE ME
I DID NOT EVEN SIGN ANY PAPERS AUTHORIZING THIS MOVE NOR SENT ANY PAPERS OUTLINING THE MOVE. PLUS HAVING SPENT AROUND $7000 FOR THE JOKE OF SAFEKEEPING THAT UNITED VAN LINES PROVIDED ME.
I WOULD HAVE GLADLY SPENT A FEW MORE HUNDRED DOLLARS (AS OF TODAY I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHO MUCH THAT THE REPLACEMENT OF VALUE/ITEM INSURANCE WOULD BE) TO COVER ANY LOSS/DAMAGE TO THE ONLY POSSESSION I HAVE IN THE WORLD.
AFTER I COMPLETED THE ONLINE CLAIM FORM WHICH TOOK OVER A MONTH FILL OUT AND I ALSO SENT A HARD COPY WITH PHOTO'S OF COMPARABLE ITEMS TO UNITED VAN LINES - THE AMOUNT OF MY MONETARY LOSS TOTALLING APPROXIMATELY $12800, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MR. KEN CLARK? CLAIMS MANAGER OF UNITED VAN LINES LTD INFORMING ME THAT I WOULD
NOT BE COMPENSATED FOR ANY LOSS OF ITEMS
NOT EVEN THE STANDARD 60 cent PER POUND WHICH IS USUALLY STANDARD FOR A LONG DISTANCE MOVE.
IF I OWNED ALL OF MY POSSESSIONS BEFORE I STORED/MOVED WITH United Van Lines Ltd and now I own 1/2 of my belongs?
ISN'T THAT ROBBERY. I HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY THIS COMPANY AND HAVE RECEIVED NO EMPATHY OR COMPANSATION WHATSOEVER FROM THIS LARGE COLD MULTIMILLION DOLLAR EARNING IMPERSONAL MOVING COMPANY.

I will never rest with this issue until it is resolved. United Van Lines and all of their affiliates have done this to me and to many others, it must stop it is outright Theft.
I said to the police department here " So what you telling me is that if I want to become a thief and get away with it, I should become a mover". The police officer had No Comment.
It is not only possessions that are stolen but momentos of a day in the park with my elderly mother, the first piece of jewelry a man who loved me gave me, my wok that was perfect and I loved to make my stir fry on, my summer navy and white polka dot comfortor set, all of my things were a part of me.
UNITED VAN LINES LTD YOU STOLE A PART OF ME.
