This Company IS Absolutely Ridiculous! All my dealing with Absolute Titanium Design has been frustrating to say the least. I placed an order for custom ring on Nov 23rd where I received an email saying that Custom Order rings take about 3-4 weeks to make but if you need it sooner they will try and there are no guarantees.
OK so I was getting Married Dec 17th and this ring was for My husband and I was cutting close to the 4 week mark. It was actually the 3 1/2 week mark. Well before placing my order - since I knew the timing was close, I contacted the company to see if it was feasible to get the ring in time for the wedding. They never said anything about being backlogged or anything like that, they said they would try their best. So I placed my order on Nov 23rd like I stated about and then waited. I did not hear anything from them for about 2 weeks when I started calling them to see what the status of my ring was.
Every time I contacted this company, it was a difficult to get someone on the phone, and when I left messages, I would never hear back. I was calling 2 times a day until I finally got to Talk to Mia - who is part owner. Well to make this long story short, the ring I ordered never made it for the wedding, I was calling up to the day before the wedding and Mia - DID NOT THE KNOW THE STATUS of the ring. Keep in mind that this is 3 1/2 weeks after I ordered ring and they claim that custom ordered rings take 3 -4 weeks... and at 3 1/2 weeks, Mia had no idea at what stage the ring was at! I believe it was not even started at this point.
I, Thank God I had a back up ring to give my Husband on our wedding day - and he was very understanding about the whole thing. At this point, we both figured we would get the ring when we returned from our honeymoon which was another 3 week later!! Well Sorry to disappoint you all - NO the ring was not ready at our house when we got back from our honeymoon... Which was Jan 4th! In fact the ring didn't come until Jan 20th and that was with me once again calling Mia at Absolute Titanium Design and harassing them on the status!!!
So after receiving the ring after 8 1/2 weeks LATER, I get the ring to find it completely rushed from the finish and detailed standpoint. There are noticeable flaws all over the ring. I contacted the company immediately after receiving the ring asking them for their FED-EX numbers so I can mail the ring back so they can fix it up. And after waiting 1 1/2 weeks to get the information from ATD, they tell me that they do not pay for the shipping of the ring!!! They want me to pay for shipping the ring back to them and this is a direct quote from the email I received from Mia "We usually do not cover the shipping charges. Returning the package via register mail will cost you just less than $10.00.Please note that we cannot reimburse you for FedEx charges."!!!
Well When I received this email I got a little... ummmm what's the word... PISSED about the whole thing. I wrote her a nice LONG email explaining to her about all my frustrations with her company and that I refuse to pay anything more for the ring. The fact that the ring came to me and was not even finished correctly is not my doing and I will not pay for anything. I ask her to stand by her product and take responsibility for sending me a ring that was OBVIOSULY RUSHED. The finish was noticeably scuffed up and one of the screw settings was not laid correctly. I have yet to hear from ADT and MIA!!! They wait way too long to make things right and what kind of business owner is that???
So PLEASE do yourself a favor and GO to ANY OTHER RING DESIGNER to get a unique ring. ATD Obviously don't care about customer satisfaction. When I asked what can be done about getting the ring soo late, they offered me a 25% off on MY NEXT ORDER!! Like There will EVER BE ANOTHER ORDER!!! I now just want this ring fixed so My husband can get a nice wedding band and it looks like I will be taking it else where to fix up!! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!! THESE GUYS DON'T DESERVE YOUR MONEY!! They really don't I am soo disappointed and I wish there was more I can do to make it known to people that ATD does not treat their customers well.
They are actually part of the Better Business Bureau and I have contacted them to file a complaint and I have not heard back from them!!!
