I received a nightshirt for christmas from someone in another province. It was too big and I did not have a receipt. When I went to do an exchange there was not another nightshirt like it. When I asked for a refund they told me that I would get $5.00 back, the nightshirt was $15.00 when bought. I chose a different nightshirt that was $10.00. I had to pay a difference of $5.00 (as they only gave me a $5.00 refund). $10.00 had already been lost as the original shirt was $10.00 more than what they gave as a refund, then I had to pay $5.00?!!! This is a crock... no store should be able to operate like that.

Once the sale was going through, the clerk asked for my address and my phone number. I gave her my address (even though there is no need for them to have this), but I told her I would not give my phone number as it is unlisted. She said she could not finish with the sale unless she had this. She then proceeded to call the manager. The manager stated (and not very nicely), that he would let it go this time but from now on a phone # is required if there is no receipt. As far as I am concerned this store is run very badly!!! There is no courtesy to anyone and there is absolutely no customer service. I have worked in the service industry and always followed the rule that the customer is always right, Zellers does not follow this rule, they go by Zellers is always right. I will make sure that I tell everyone I know, and have my friends tell friends to never deal with Zellers again. Their attitudes are disgusting.
