I came home to find a letter in an envelope that appeared to be junk mail. When I opened the envelope there was a letter stating that I won $68, 000 and had a check enclosed for $3, 150 to cover accounting, tax and clearance fees.
I thought that it was too good to be true to so I entered "Golden Shopper's Sweepstakes" in a google search and saw everyone else also had the same compaints. I have the same claim number as other people as well.
The company is said to be in ON, and the number on my letter is 905-462-1067. I called tonight to see if there was a legitimate recording and it said that the mailbox was full.
I found it strange that the check was cut from Bank of American and the company on the check was from Coral Springs, FL (Beautiful Things, INC. Lighting & Accessories).
Wish that I could really have the money, but glad I figured this out before my banking information was released to whoever is behind this.
