This company advertised in the local paper and had a web site. Charges were quoted to be $ 44 per hour for 2 men and a truck. They confirmed this information when I made the booking. They showed up and loaded my furniture on the truck and then locked the door of the truck and demanded a deposit of $ 500.00. I called the office and they said this was company policy that any money would be refunded in cash after the move, it only took 90 minutes to load and I was only moving 5 blocks away.
When they arrived at my new apartment they sat in the truck for 1/2 hour, then presented a bill for $ 750.00. They then told me to pay up or I would be in trouble as they were going to take my furniture to storage and I would have to pay even more money. I called the office and they called me names and insulted me and then told me to pay up or else they would come and collect it as they knew were I lived. I called the police but they said they could not help. The whole move only took 3 and one half hours yet they charged me $ 750. I had to borrow money to pay the bill.
They operate under many names and have a number of phone numbers. But, I did learn the owners name is Moe. I have filed a complaint with the Toronto police fraud squad.
This company operates by extortion and intimdation, and should be put out off business. It is obvious why they have to operate under so many names.
