I wondered how my name had fallen into a DE-LOTTO NORTH AMERICAN SWEEPSTAKES LOTTERY In Toronto, Cananda. I received a very legitimate looking check for the amount of $4980.00. The letter stated that I was one of the 32 declared winners and my share of $4 million dollars came to
$125, 000.00. I called the Office Line at Power Mart Rewards and Trust Inc. and they told me to cash the check $4980.00 which was enclosed with the letter, call Martin Kevin, (Promotion Manager), or Claims Disbursement Agent, John Smith, and send $2980.00 via Western Union or MoneyGram directly to the tax agent for taxes; and they in-turn would send $120, 200.00 after the taxes were paid. The government does not accept tax payments via Western Union or MoneyGram.
The wire goes directly to the so-called scamming company. You cash your check, not waiting for the check to clear, the money comes out of your bank account, you send the bogus company $2980.00, and the check is no good. You are out $2980.00. Don't fall into this scam. I searched the INTERNET after I received the letter in the mail today, 2/3/09.
