The list keeps getting longer and longer. I am also a victim of Steve Brown's con-artist game. Like everyone else, I signed a contract with Steve to get flooring installed.
Being new to the Durham region and not knowing anyone, I got his name and number from the ad in the local newspaper. At the time I couldn't find anything negative about his company on the internet and all his referrals checked out, so naturally I though we were good to go!
But like everyone else, I got scammed!!! I went to the Durham Regional Police today, to file a fraud claim and found out I'm not alone. Lets not take this lying down, if enough of the Steve Brown victims work together, maybe we can put a stop to this happening again.
And hopefully get our money back, I gave him a $2000 deposit.
