I received a check today notifying me that I had won a lottery and all I had to do was deposit this check for 3, 800.00 to cover teh applicable Insurance process fee on my winnings ($38, 000.00). I'm to endorse the check and deposit into my bank and then contact my claim agent to further finalize my claim. I have to keep the claim number confidentially secured until my claim has been properly processed (whatever this means) and funds remitted to me as this is part of the security protocol to avoid double claims. Contact claim agent Martha Fredric or Ben Peterson at 1-905-598-3281 for further clarification and instructinos on claiming my winning immediately. Blah, blagh, blah - Yours truly, Roy Lord/ Claim Director
My "winning" check was issued on the Bank of Hawaii, so I called for verification. My to my surprise, (it's so hard to write this and not be scarcastic), it's a fraudulent check. I was asked to fax over the check and letter and the bank will take it frim here. This really pisses me off. So poor soul, will deposit the bogus check, send the cash to the criminal, and then wait for the winnings to just come flowing in. I saw this on 60 minutes, or Dateline somewhere, so it's a very popular scam.
I hope they file a class action lawsuit and hang these idiots!!!
