We received a letter in the mail along with a check in the amount of $3, 850.00. It also said we had another check on the way in the amount of $36, 125.00.
The letter reads as follows: On Behalf o the United States of America Grants Incorporated we are proud to announce that your application for a grant in the amount of $40, 0000 has been approved. Your approved file with Serial No. BF-0772 was sent to our company from the processing office of the Grant Board of Commission. Your file was evaluated by the legal department and this leaves you the sole beneficiary of this Grant.
Payment Details:
1. The Enclosed check of $3850.00 is the tax/clearance fees on this Grant.
2. Our Company is entitle to a $25.00 service charge.
3. Your final check of $36, 125.00 is your Grant after tax/service charge.
Please note that your final check of $36, 125.00 will not be issued until the accounting department has confirmed your tax/clearance fees payment receipt by fax at 1-806-737-7396.
This Grant is not a benefit or an entiletlement. It is an award of financial assistance from a federal agency to a recipient to caryy out a public purpose of support or stimulation authorized by a law of the United States. Therefore, it is not a loan.

So this is what we received, we did not apply for a grant and when I googled the name of Boyer, other scmas came up. Just beware, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is not...
