I received a letter from Manila Payment Systems Inc saying that I had won $75, 000 and they had sent with it a check for $2980 to cover administrative fees. I kept trying to call to verify with them but got no where, the Check was official and had my father look it over as well. We agreed to the fact the check was good... IT IS NOT!!!
I faxed the company a letter since I could not get them to answer the phone, I even looked up Malina and Associates and there is a company in NY by that name which had good reviews so I deposited the check and paid bills with the money since the bank put it through to my account on March 28th.
Today April 4th I just found out that the bank is returniong my check and Malina finally picked up the phone wanting me to now send them $2800 so that I can have my 75000 tomorrow. I am now $4, 000 in the hole because of this scam and another one that I am now having to look into due to the same type thing.
