On August 28, I received a letter from the British Gaming Commision along with a check in the amount of $2994.45 from Lockwood and Winant, Inc (address 4-5-6-7 Fulton Fish Market, New York, NY 10038 phone 204-952-1457. This looked too good to be true, so I did some research on Lockwood and Winant and found out they are Fulton Fish Market. Why would this company have anything to do with the British Gaming Commision. That was my first clue into this being "A FISHY DEAL". Sorry for the pun, but it works here.
I had lunch with a friend today and he told me to check out Sun Source and when I did, I found this web site. Of course I am not going to proceed with this, but I think something should be done to prevent this from happening to others. My question now is what do I do with this check from Lockwood & Winant? It appears to be a negotiable check. Do I cash it?
