On October 22, 2005 a charge for $37.00 appeared on my credit card statement from costumehut.com. I did not ever order any merchandise from such a company. After investigating I realized that I did order a $9.00 costume from costumedisguises.com not costumehut.com, but was immediately sent an email from costumedisguises.com to inform me the product was out of stock and that my credit card was declined and the order would be cancelled, I responded to the email to inform costumedisguises.com not to rerun card at a later date and not to send the costume if did become available.
I have made multiple attempts to contact both costumehut and costumedisguises i.e. letters, email, phone messages, with no resolution. I have even filed a fraudulent report of charges to my credit card company. I have become a victim of online fraud, credit card fraud and my personal information has been stolen and used without my knowledge or consent. I have been violated.
