Bioware and EA
Boycott games from these companies, all they want is your money!

To any who play online games I urge you to never purchase the game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Bioware is the developer and it is an EA company. The game itself was an amazing concept, however the companies involved in it's production are incredibly greedy and have no intent on making an online gaming experience fun and enjoyable to you as a customer.

Their customer support is incredibly poor. Their in game support is all automated so if you have ever played a game like World of Warcraft where they actually answer your concerns be prepared to be ignored. When fed up with the lack of help you might turn to the forums on their site as an alternative. Unfortunately if you can even get onto their site you'll find if you leave any comments that shows your frustration with the game you'll be sent PMs and emails notifying you of your infraction on their "rules of conduct", which basically say they can terminate any of your posts for having any type of negative feedback. Sadly they seem to staff their forum administrator department much better than their customer service department because I recieved e-mails within the hour about comments I left on forums whereas I have struggled for a month to contact an In-game rep, Forum Admin, or CSRep by phone without results.

As far as the game itself goes, the gameplay is poor and their are many glitches and bugs that have been left unchanged for a more than a month at this date. If you are familiar with online MMO's this is incredibly frustrating and shows their lack of enthusiasm to make a game that works. Instead they continue to release "New Content" in-game to try and blind players to the problems. This of course isn't working.

I found it amusing that when they released their first "huge" patch to "fix" problems, it created even greater issues. When many players decided to cancel their subscriptions at this point, mysteriously a couple of things happened that show these companies greedy nature. 1.-Conveniently the Bioware's website has a huge volume of traffic preventing players from getting to their account pages and canceling subscriptions. 2.-For those players who did get to their account pages, the cancel subscription button was gone! It has been in the same location for a month yet as they start to have issues conveniently moves! Other players reported having their pages convert to other languages, which is a quick fix, but makes you wonder why all the sudden these problems occur on their site? The worst of all is that these problems prevented people from canceling their account subscriptions the day that it renewed. These companies stole another month's subscription from people!

If you are still playing this game I ask that you unsubscribe if you are as frustrated as I am and show the developers and producers that they can't take our money and leave us with an unfinished game with no intention of fixing it in a timely manner. Keep in mind they have had 7 years of development involved in this game. Thank you for your time!
