They call you up to "verify" your address for a bill, implying that you owe them and of course as a conciensious small business owner.. my husband and accountant asks for a copy of the invoice.. this is when they get you on tape verifying your address and payment. "Yes.. we would pay by check"
But we did not order anything!
I get the bill and try to contact them and verify what it is they think they sold you.. thats when I hear all about the virtual listing and that we now owe them.
I repeat we did not order anything!! We are a small business.. this type of misleading sales practice.. is extremely upsetting and I would have to sell a lot of balloons to pay for what I consider to be a scam.
This is not the first time, nor the last. Do not accept it.. fight it. Report it. Be ever vigilant with banking, bills etc. because they get away with it too often.
