Ripoff Lied by telling me the items on my order were no longer available when their web site clearly shows they have stock

On Feb. 3rd 2007 Buy.com Canada had a Microsoft VX-6000 Life cam web cam listed for the low price of $23.99. I placed an order for two thinking the worst that could happen is it's a pricing error and they'll send me an email to apologize and cancel my order.

A week goes by and my order had not been shipped or canceled, but they had increased the price to $88.99. Each week they emailed me and told me that the items on my order were out of stock but would be shipped when stock arrived.

Today I receive an email from them claiming that the item is no longer available from their supplier and therefore they have canceled my order. This is a blatant lie because their website clearly shows the item is in stock.

For some reason they think it is easier to lie to customers than to immediately cancel orders and apologize for the error.

They have a toll free customer service number (1-877-780-2464) but it is in India and is totally useless. When you can speak to someone, they also lie to you.
