I reported these scam artists in October and went through months of bizarre e-mails, long distance phone calls, threatening letters etc. I kept track of every single one and finally, contacted my credit card company with the information. I filed a fraud report against both Costume Hut and Costume Disguises. The bank immediately credited my account for the amount of money I paid and proceded to investigate the company. Most of the complaints following mine have been from the United States but certainly your credit card companies would be able to do the same thing for you. It is unfortunate that many of you will not shop from Canadian sites in the future, as Canadians are known throughout the world as honest people. The laws in Quebec, however, differ from other provinces and we hear of many scams which originate there. I ended up purchasing the exact same costume for the very same price from a store in Mississauga Ontario called Creepers. They were excellent, had an amazing variety of costumes and could not have been nicer. They saved Halloween in our house. Good luck recovering your money. Hopefully we will play a small part in putting these scam artists out of business.
