Demanding remote access

The same thing happened (or is happening) to me... i purchased Publisher, got to step 1 in the download process and after much conversatoin with Jane was told I needed to allow remote access. I said no, was there another way? they said no. I said then could I have a refund, again no, and as with previous posters, they said I was refusing help. I am now in the process of stopping the payment on my credi card. Never again.
