Bad Delivery and mis-information

Purchased an entire livingroom suite from Ashley Furnitire on April 10th 2010. At that time I was told that the delivery time can be up to 4 weeks but it rarily geos that long and it is more likely that the furniture would be deleivered around the 2 - 3 week time frame. After the three week point, I contacted Ashley Furniture and ask for when my furniture could be expected to be deleivered. I was then told that it would be delivered on May 5th through May 8th. This did not happen. I waited until the 4 weeks had passed and called them.. It was this time I was told that the furniture would be another 15 days. Thus taking me to a full 6 weeks plus. This company avoids people cancelling their orders by forcing them to pay a 20% restocking fee if they decide to bail out on the purchase..

My advise: Avoid Ashley furnitire at all costs. You will receive bad customer service, mediocre furniture and a complacent attitude

An interesting side note: - Ashley Furniture has already lost a "Class Action" law suite regarding Gas card promises. Or more correctly Settle out of court. Information from their own web site
