Pinnacle Consultants Incorporated is proud to announce our expansion into the US marketplace by offering our Research and Experimentation Tax Credit advisory services to US manufacturers. Our US head office will be located in the manufacturing belt of Cleveland Ohio. Our growth is a direct result of the support you have entrusted in us since our inception in 1995. We thank you. We have worked diligently and stayed on top of the all the latest changes and tax laws to ensure your business receives the maximum allowable refundable tax credits with minimum scrutiny and impact on your day-to-day business. Recent legislative changes in the US Research Tax Credit program that call for stricter compliance requirements, has made it an opportune time for Pinnacle to expand our service offerings south of the border. Prior to 2008, there were no standardized compliance requirements to file R&D claims in the US. Because R&D claims in the US were not reviewed by Science Auditors, everyone used different methods of calculation and offered very little in way of technical documentation and reports to support qualifying activities and costs. Currently, the IRS has made it mandatory that each company must file a standardized claim that is compliant to technical tax laws similar to our SR&ED program in Canada. R&D claims in the US must now be prepared by engineers and will be subject to a science review.
