Broken Chest Freeze

Purcased a Haier Chest Freezer in November 2009, the product stopped working in September 2010. Service was sent out by Haier and they determined the compressor was faulty. Haier advised they would replace the product as it was under warranty if I sent them the receipt, the original sticker from the unit with the serial number on it and the power cord cut from the unit. I sent all of the items in and was told to discard the old unit and a new replacement would be provided in roughly 6 weeks time. After hearing nothing for almost 7 weeks I contacted Haier and was told that they are out of stock on the replacement and wanted to provide me with a refund on my purchase less 20% for usage. Now I was not particularly happy with this as they should be replacing the full value of the unit under warranty, but I discarded the old unit as instructed and essentially have no choice. I was told they would provide me with a final answer as to whether or not this would be approved in two weeks time. It is now 4 weeks later still no word from Haier, I've been waiting on hold listening to elevator music for 20 minutes now and am a little PO'd.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS!!! PRODUCTS ARE JUNK AND THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THIR JUNK.
