I signed up for the medical transcription course on the belief that it was a top notch course. From the first day I had problems. There were technical difficulties connecting up with the course material. Then once that was sorted out I had problems with the initial "computer usage" units. I was failing the units eventhough the on-line tutor agreed with my answers. It got to the point that the tutor signed off every time I accessed the help line.
Realizing that the couse was not up to the standard I had been led to believe I decided to cut my losses and quit after completing just 6% of the course (I had not even started the main part of the course). Canscribe contacted me and asked me to hang on since they had revamped the course and needed to iron out the gliches. When I signed up I had understood that the course had been in operation for some years and did not wish to be a guinea pig.
Eventhough I had barely started they kept 30% of the total cost of the course. I understand that they have start up costs but 30% is excessive. Be very sure that you want to continue with this course before signing up.
