Mademoiselle Spa - 400 Scott Street in St. Catharines should be shut down!
Here's my experience with the b***s. In 2004 I paid close to $700.00 for a one year membership. The staff member who registered me said that I could cancel the contract after 1 year as long as I wrote them a letter and gave 30 days notice. My contract ended in April 2005.
In February 2005, I hand delivered a letter stating my wishing to cancel my contract. I did exactly what the staff informed me to do. I also was smart enough to cancel my credit card as some of the members of Mademoiselle spa told me that they were ripped off thousands of dollars from their credit card or chequing accounts.
Here's the best?! -- Yesterday, (Wednesday, May 23, 2007), Lesley from Mademoiselle spa called me to state that several times they have called me, sent letters etc. about my account with them. This was the first time that I received a call from them and as far as I was concerned, I no longer have an account with them.
I kept my original receipt as well as a photocopy of my cancellation letter from 2005, brought them to Mademoiselle Spa and spoke with a representative who in turn called the Manager, Moira Evans who said I never gave her a letter and it is invalid anyway as she should have given me a cancellation form.
Now this Lesley chick says if I don't pay, ( I don't even know what the amount is) they will send a collection agency out after me.
Can you believe these crooked b***s?
