Plimus Sent letter promising a grant of 75 thousand with $4, 700 as a check to use to pay the Fed and Intern taxes said to put in bank account and let clear then take money to a western union and transfer it to my "agent" ripoff Vancouve

A letter was sent to me with the promise of a $75, 000 grant that I had won in a sweepstakes. I had remembered entering several sweepstakes over the years and thought maybe I had won one of them.

In the letter it told me that the check of $4, 700 was for the Federal and International Taxes that were to be taken out of my grant which also included $1, 300 house commision fee.

Once I read the letter it said to call a certain number and call them for further instructions.
I called the number as a skeptic and a man told me that I was to take the check to my bank and let it clear. Then I was supposed to take the money out as cash and send it to my agent in Georgia through Western Union. Of course still skeptical I waited a while and decided to call the company again. I got the same guy and he told me the same thing. He said I could ask anyone I wanted if the check was real and if the grant was real.

So I went to my bank and showed them. My banker told me the check was real but the grant was not. I was advised to take the money to the bank and let it sit.

I did so and only spent a little, so if I did have to pay it back it would be easy. Well awhile went by and I kept checking my account. It said it cleared. I was happy with just the $4, 700 and was anxious to pay off debt that I had. I spent near $500 and was about to spend more when my card stopped working.

I called my bank and the check had "chargedback". I only used the money because I thought it was legal but it was all a scam. I'm glad I didnt send the money through Western Union or unstead of $900 plus in debt I would be $4, 700 in debt at my bank.

Now I have to pay at least $80 a month or I will have to go to court.

Watch out for these people, they WILL scam you!
When I tried to call back there was no answer with the same guy on an answering machine.
Learn from my mistake. Even to those skeptics, you can still be affected! Watch OUT!
