In-Store sign advertised 18kg bags of mixed wild bird seed for $8.99, but they only had 8kg bags (less than half the weight) for the same price of $8.99. There wasn't an empty space to indicate there might have originally been any stock of the advertised item, so we asked a store clerk and were told the sign was wrong because they didn't carry 18 kg bags: he then tried to get us to buy the smaller bag for the same price.
A second In-Store sign right beside the first one advertised large bags of sunflower seeds for $29.99, but the only product available was much smaller bags priced at $19.99... again there wasn't an empty space to indicate there might have originally been stock of the advertised item.
I complained about the advertising being misleading and stated that it was poor customer service to blame it on incorrect signage and then try to sell a more expensive product: as we were leaving the store (without any bird seed!), I saw the clerk remove and tear up the first sign, but the second sign was still in place.
