This is a summary of events and my experiences with this individual and company.

Week of 4th Aug they called to set up routine service of furnace, appointment set for 10 -11am Sat 9th Aug.
9th Aug. No show, no call. I called 11.35am was told technician running late on last call. Probably could be with us by 1pm. We agreed to re-schedule to 11am August 12th.
Technician arrived 12th August and carried out service. Advised that we needed new furnace plus new thermestat total cost of $2925 including installation. I paid a deposit of $1400 and scheduled furnace replacement appointment for Thursday 14th August 10am .
14th Aug. No show, no call. 11.30am I called to check and was told that it had been scheduled for next thursday 21st August (not 14th said technician must have flipped two pages in the diary instead of one) So 21st August was agreed to for 10am
21st Aug. No show, no call. 11.30 I called to check andwas told that the technician was running late on last call and it was suggested that 9am next day Friday 22nd would be better, it would be the first call and the technician could not be late.
22nd Aug. No show, no call. 11.15 I called to check on the situation and was told installation would not be done today as technician has the day off, asked why he hadn't called to notify me, he said he was very busy and did not have time to talk to me. Said I should call back next week and reschedule installation date. I said I would like to cancel the whole thing. He said "we would be in breach of contract as they had ordered and paid for our furnace, I suggested that they had broken the contract by not turning up for the numerous appointments made. He said I was being totally ridiculous just because I couldn't have the installation done on the day that I wanted and they would take us to court. He said I had no idea what was involved in trying to schedule appointments and was being totally unreasonable. Said I was being rude and stamping my foot in a tantrum and I should call back when I had calmed down." I was not being rude, I hadn't even raised my voice, (I have witnesses ) just stated that I did not want to deal with them anymore and requested a refund of my deposit. He was extremely rude, I tried to talk to him, he kept talking over me and putting me on hold, so I disconnected the call.
I am not sure exactly where I stand with this situation, but I do know that no one has to put up with rude and disrespectful behaviour. When I spoke with the Better Business Bureau they read out the complaints report on this company and over the last 36 months, it was a staggering 27 complaints lodged and letters written by the BBB which have not received any response from the company.
I believe that this company and individual should not be allowed to continue taking advantage and abusing the trust of people in our, or any other community.
