Good morning,
I am writing to you today to warn shopper of Home Depot stores I'm building a house and purchase kitchen cabinets in Gatineau Home Depot on July 12, 2004 with a signed contract stating that the delivery date would be 6 weeks August 23, 2004 but their delivery day is Wednesdays the 25th and for them to put in an order I had to pay in full $11, 311.00 which I did.
I called a week ahead to confirm my delivery date and they assured me that they would be delivered has scheduled, I called back on the Monday the 23rd to confirm that my cabinets would be delivered as scheduled and was informed that they it would be another 6 weeks due to the manufacturer (Thomasville) backlog on their product and now the delivery date would be another 6 weeks September 29th 2004. You can imagine I was fuming I have visitors coming over September 18th from London, I tried to reason with them and telling them that I've been living in a trailer since June 09, 2004 with my 2 kids and the reason I can't move into my home is I have a built in stove and a Jen-air, if I would of know of the 12 weeks delay my cabinets would have been purchase elsewhere, they kept on saying they weren't to blame it was the manufacturer that are to blame and if I wasn't happy they would be more then happy to give me a refund.
You know what piss me off, you buy $11, 000.00 worth of cabinets and they won't even try to compensate you in any way shape or form and you're basically at their mercy, going elsewhere would take another 6 weeks. I've made a bunch of phone calls to different companies and even offer them cash if they we're willing to have my kitchen cabinets earlier, they're all extremely busy and the waiting period is 6 weeks. Now what am I to do? Take this bullshit from Home Depot and not do anything I didn't buy from the manufacturer I bought from Home Depot.
I'm tired and totally stress out I just wish someone would listed and try to understand what kind of customer service we are receiving from these big company.
